See a BTS Concert in Theatres When Permission to Dance on Stage - Seoul Is Broadcast Live

2/25/2022 • 3 min read

The last two years have been difficult for everyone in different ways. For touring bands, various Covid restrictions and lockdowns have meant canceling live shows around the world. This holds true even for the biggest bands on the planet. South Korean supergroup BTS announced the "Map of the Soul" tour in January 2020, but all 39 dates were postponed and ultimately canceled due to Covid concerns.

On October 24, 2021, fans got to see a BTS live concert from home as the band kicked off a loose "Permission to Dance on Stage" tour with an audience-free show performed at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. Now, in March 2022, BTS returns to that stadium for a new Permission to Dance concert, and the entire show will be broadcast live to movie theatres around the world!

Here are all the details about this new theatrical BTS live concert.

You Don't Need Permission to Dance

The last BTS shows were in Los Angeles at the end of November and the beginning of December. Those four shows were played at SoFi Stadium in front of live audiences. Fans came from all over the United States, and probably the world, to see BTS perform.

So it's been three months since anyone got to see BTS on stage. The K-Pop group is set to play three shows in Seoul in early March 2022, and the middle one, on March 12, will be broadcast to movie theatres.

How Long Is Permission to Dance Scheduled to Be?

Good news BTS fans — this live performance is set for three hours! We don't know the precise breakdown of that running time, but however it works out, you're certain to see a long show packed with your favorite songs. The set lists for the last few BTS concerts have featured about two dozen songs, with special guests (Megan Thee Stallion and Chris Martin of Coldplay) showing up for two of the four LA encores. We don't know if any special guests will join BTS on stage for this concert.
